A couple of weeks ago, I was teaching a yoga class to a group of teenage baseball players.

We were working through a simple sequence—stretching one side of the body, then pausing to notice the difference.

If you’ve taken class with me, you know the moment… You stop, check in, and suddenly one side feels longer, lighter, different.

It’s subtle—but powerful.

Well, one of the boys sat up, looked down at his legs, and said:

“Bro… did I just get taller?!”  He was completely blown away.  And honestly… it made me smile.  Not just because it was funny, but because of how pure it was.  He was in total awe of his body.  No judgment.  No criticism.  No trying to change anything.  Just… wow.  And it made me think…

When was the last time we felt that way about our bodies?

So often, we focus on what we want to fix, change, or lose.  But our bodies are doing incredible things for us every single day.  They breathe for us.  They heal for us.  They adapt, recover, and support us… without us even thinking about it.  What if we paused—just for a moment—and appreciated that?

Here’s your challenge today:

Take 2 minutes.

Turn off the noise.

No phone. No music. No distractions.

Sit.

Breathe.

And simply notice your body.

Maybe even thank it.

This is what yoga is really about.

It’s not just stretching—it’s learning to listen, to slow down, and to reconnect with your body in a way that most of us don’t take time to do.

If you’ve been feeling disconnected, stressed, or stuck in negative self-talk… this might be exactly what you need.

Start with 2 minutes.

And if you’re ready to take it a step further, come join us for a class.

You might be surprised by what you feel.
