When we first opened, John had his strength training facility. I had my yoga studio. And we noticed something simple but powerful. My yogis needed to get stronger. His strength people needed to move better.
Bringing those two worlds together has been one of the best things we’ve ever done. ✨
But here is the truth about building something from scratch. You learn as you go. As the saying goes, when you know better, you do better.
As we’ve grown, we’ve learned that many people walk through our doors with little or no strength training experience. Starting something new can feel intimidating, and we wanted a better way to help people feel confident from day one.
So we got to work.
Since January, we’ve been building, testing, and refining something we’re really proud of. We call it On Ramp.
Every new member now begins their journey with:
🏋️ Four one-on-one personal training sessions with a coach
📋 A personalized movement assessment
🔧 Modifications built specifically around their body and goals
🔥 A walkthrough of class flow, equipment, and expectations
📺 Help learning how to use our app and track progress
🧘 Full access to yoga classes during the On Ramp period
🥗 A personalized nutrition assessment
👉 A coaching conversation to help determine the best path forward
The result?
New members walk into their first class feeling prepared instead of overwhelmed. Confident instead of unsure. Like they already belong, because they do.
Our coaches can coach more effectively, and our members enjoy an even better class experience. It’s truly a win-win for everyone involved.
We’ve been running all new members through On Ramp, and the feedback has been incredibly positive.
If you know someone who’s been thinking about joining MOVE+breathe but feels nervous or unsure where to start, this is exactly what On Ramp was built for. Send them our way. We’ll take great care of them.
And if you’re already a member and would benefit from a little extra one-on-one coaching, we’d love to help with that too.
We didn’t have this figured out from day one. But we’ve kept learning, listening, and building something better for the people we serve. That’s what MOVE+breathe has always been about.
